2. 내용요약 및 느낀점

I was first amazed at the fact that vegetarians or people eating less meat account for 33 percet of the canadian population. That figure was way more than I expected. I, myself, never tried a vegetarian diet, but rather I kind of thought that vegetarians are actually of hypocritical aspects in their behavior. By which I mean, it is just not the food issue when it comes to animal abuse; it is almost impossible to tackle the problem without talking about clothes, sport, entertainment, and stray animals. I have hardly seen an extreme vegetarian who doesn't own any single clothes whose fibres are not made from animals, and who only eats beans and corns and refrains from even dairy products and eggs. Also, as I am raising a kid, it is really hard for me to ignore the importance of feeding him with enough amounts of iron and vitamins, which are abundant in beef. Also, accoriding to the article, being a full vegetarian dieter does not always gaurantee their great health, unless we eat vegetables in a healthy way, not fying them in oil. Nevertheless, it seems worthwhile to reduce the intakes of meat or starting small. That way, the meat will be less consumed while protecting the environoment and animals.
