1. 암기할 문장
(1) "Have you ever sat down to complete an important task — and then suddenly discovered you were up loading the dishwasher or engrossed in the Wikipedia entry about Chernobyl?"
(2) "For many people, procrastination is a strong and mysterious force that keeps them from completing the most urgent and important tasks in their lives with the same strength as when you try to bring like poles of a magnet together."
(3) It usually happens when people fear or dread, or have anxiety about, the important task awaiting them.

Tim Urban is running a blog Wait but Why and he talks about procrastination with interesting drawings and stories. He says that he is a master procrastinator who leaves an important task to the last few days of its deadline. I really liked the part when he introduced "instant gratification monkey" inside the procrastinator's brain and it is the "panic monster" lurking somewhere inside the brain that wakes up the "rational decision maker" by the around of the deadline. The article also made me think of the importance of educating children in their early age about time management and self-control, which I believe are the two key elements that keep us from being procrastinators.
